During the last weekend in April, there are FOUR book sales happening thanks to the Friends of Madison Public Library! Spring book sales are a grand tradition at Madison Public Library and various Friends groups are hosting special sales to help raise funds to support the library.
Central Library Book Sale
April 24-26, Times Vary | Central Library
The Friends of Central Library will be hosting a book sale Thurs, April 24 - Sat, April 26 in the Friends Book Store & former Café space on the 1st Floor of Central Library. Explore an amazing selection of $1 paperbacks, $2 hardbacks, higher-priced treasures, and special collections of auto manuals, reference collections, and book club kits. Don’t miss your chance to snag gently-used books at unbeatable prices!
Hours:
- Thursday, April 24: 5-9pm
- Friday, April 25, 9am - 6pm
- Saturday, April 26: 9am - 4pm
Proceeds will benefit Madison Public Library. The Friends can accept cash, check, and credit card (only for purchases $5 or more).
Lakeview Library Book Sale
April 26 (Donations accepted April 24-25 during open hours) | Lakeview Library
The Friends of Lakeview Library will be accepting donations of books, DVDs, CDs, and vinyl on Thursday, April 24, and Friday, April 25, only. A book sale will follow on Saturday, April 26 from 9am - 4pm, with a bag sale from 2:15-4pm. Prices are typically $2 and under for most books and materials.
All proceeds benefit library programming. Thank you for supporting the library!
Sequoya Library Children's Book Sale

Do you know kids who could use more books? Come by Sequoya Library to browse the Friends of Sequoya's special children's book sale!
Bring your pocket change--paperbacks and board books will be 25 cents apiece; hardcovers and picture books will be 50 cents apiece. (The Friends accept cards, too.)
Browse featured collections, including:
- Newbery Award Winners,
- nonfiction categories like animals, science, biographies, and history
- books in series, like Warriors, Rick Riordan, and Goosebumps.
The Friends will be at Sequoya Library all day (9am to 4pm) to help you find the perfect gently-used children's books for you and your family!
