In partnership with the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Dane County, Madison Public Library is hosting a series of aging and dementia-awareness classes throughout 2024. Classes are intended for adults and families, but all are welcome.

Home Safety Recommendations for Dementia

Join Kayla Olson, Dementia Care Specialist from the Aging & Disability Resource Center of Dane County (ADRC), to learn about some of the brain changes that occur with dementia, and how this impacts how individuals interact with their surroundings. We will also provide general safety recommendations for the home to keep your loved one safe and limit risks or potential hazards.

Memory screening is an important part of overall health and much like other routine health screenings. The Aging & Disability Resource Center of Dane County is offering free and confidential 15 minute memory screening appointments, including educational materials about memory concerns and brain health.
